A satellite TV setup includes a satellite dish to capture signals, a set-top box (or receiver) to decode them, and cables to connect the components. The dish antenna is a parabolic dish that focuses the weak satellite signals into a single point where the receiver is attached. The set-top box then processes the signals and sends them to your TV.
